Valentines day is just around the corner and Summer is coming quicker that we realize. With this means engagements and couples portrait sessions! If you have a portrait session planned and aren't positive on what to expect or how to actually make it go well, do not fret! I have 5 tips for you on how to rock your couples session :)

Don't Stress Out : If you are stressed it isn't going to be fun for you. Have fun and enjoy yourself. After all this photo session is for you and your family.

Wear what you want to wear : Stop worrying about what others wear to their session. Be yourself. These images are to document this special time in your life. If you want to be fancy, be fancy. If you want to be casual then be causal. Ultimately wear whatever makes you feel confident. Wear something that makes you feel beautiful and something that you are comfortable in.

Make a day out of it : After all this is your couples session! You took the time to get ready for it, you did your hair and makeup, and you have on an outfit that you feel amazing in. Take the day and enjoy it. Go out to dinner after the session. If you enjoy the day and make it more of a date where the portrait session is part of your day date, then the pictures are going to come out that much better!

Be yourself : Don't act the way you feel you should act during a couples portrait session. Be yourself. You want to be able to relate to the images. The best images are when the true emotions come out.

Forget that it is a photoshoot: Ok, so this is easier said than done especially if you don't have your pictures taken very often; however, just remember that this photoshoot is for you and your family. You scheduled it for you. This is to document this special time in your life. Just remember that this time is for you.
