In the spring of 2009, the Minas family was forced to deal with circumstances that too many families must face, the loss of a loved one to cancer. We had lost our patriarch, Thomas A. Minas to Pancreatic Cancer. After this experience our family wanted to help other families through these difficult times. So in his honor we have created Minas VS Cancer. Our goal is to be a resource for patients and their families who are being affected by cancer. These resources would come in the form of finances, education, or something as simple as hope.

Giving back is something that I find truly important.One thing that I enjoy doing is volunteering to be the photographer at the Minas vs. Cancer Annual Golf Tournament. This year the golf tournament took  place at the Sherwood Forrest Golf Club near Sanger California. It was absolutely gorgeous out there and the weather couldn't have been better. Sunny and 75. Can't really beat that.

The event is nothing but laughter, fun, giving back, and some good ole golfing competition ;) . At the end of the day there is a wonderful dinner, a few speeches, raffles and prizes! You can even purchase some serious swag anytime during the event.
