It all started in 1993 after a Sade's date that went not so well. Jannine decided to go to Java cafe, in the Tower District, with her friends to finish the night out with good people and good laughs. She never expected to find that man of her dreams in that little cafe. Jannine was introduced to Chad that evening and the rest was history. Chad proposed in the Tower on the corner across from what used to be the Java cafe, right where they had carved their initials in the cement. They were married only 5 years later, in 1997 on November 1st. (Happy Late Anniversary!).

Their family grew to four with Connor being the oldest and Aidan being their youngest. By 2003 they had their full family. Jannine has always had a love for baking and decided to open up shop and Firehouse cookies was created.
